Where my dogz at?

Just wondering if there were any other dog lovers on this site (not the sick kind. You know who you are... I hate people with cancer...)

Anyway, as if my name and avatar weren't evidence enough, I love my d4mn dog, Rebel. I got him while I was over the road (driving an 18 wheeler around the US). Some lady was giving away puppies in front of a Wal-Mart in Rancho Cucomonga, Ca. Aparently a boxer got in her yard and diddled her pit. Out pops Rebel, among others.

He was my best buddy in some hard times driving around the country alone. He kept me company while I was basically homeless (living in my truck) and didn't really have anybody else. When he was just six months old and ~50lbs (pictured hear today at 19 months 94lbs) he actually drove an attacker away from my truck. I'm not a small guy (6'4, 335lbs and fairly solid underneath it all...) but some crazy mothertrucker came at me from between two trucks with a knife while I was climbing out with my arms full of laundry. I dropped the clothes and went for my collapsible baton that I always carry when his little puppy head stuck around the corner and growled/barked (which he NEVER does at people). That ***** ran.

Here's my little hero, post yours. (Cat's welcome at their own risk!)

Cute pup, how did it work out with taking bathroom breaks for him? Did you just pull over every 6 hours or so?
He did great with that actually. A few accidents here and there. For a time he decided my bed was a potty. Eventually he learned that it was okay to pee on the vinyl floor up front, but not on the bed or carpet in the back.

I would stop frequently and let him walk around in the beginning, but he caught on real quick. Being in a truck is kind of like constant crate training, really. The hard part was training ME. I remember once thinking he was wining for attention until he had diarrhea all over the jump seat... never ignored his whines again.

I don't believe that dog is 94lbs in that picture.
He doesn't look it, but I promise he is. He was just at the vet a few weeks ago. He stands probably a little over 5ft and is pretty solid. He looks so small sometimes when I look at him that I forget how big he is. It's weird.
