My dad is a driver for wonderbread/hostess and he says the warehouse workers make 14/hour. make sure you're not getting screwed.

I work for Bally Total Fitness in the retail store. I sell supplements and make protein smoothies making 8/hour + commissions + bonuses + tips.

Work for dad/dads buddy. I was looking for a job and my dad fired a guy, so basically I got his job. I work in a warehouse and make anything that needs to be made, and go anywhere that needs to be gone. From 7-3 im busy constantly. Yesterday I didn't even take lunch I was that busy. I make 12.50$ and hour, which is better for my dad to pay me that, than the 20+$an hour he'd pay someone else. I can do the same job as the previous worker, just cheaper, so he figured why not hire me.

I might be getting a raise soon because I may have to make deliveries and start going into the city a lot more.(San Fran)

By the end of summer I hope to have about 10k in my savings for a car.

Oh I also clean toilets and vacuum, mop, and take out the trash every sunday in my workplace, for 75$. I respect all those who have janitorial jobs so much more now.

9.80/hr. starting wage is good pay around here...especially for a 17 year old kid. Hopefully I get in there, be rollin' in the dough then.

Hey, about how much do you think a regualr guy that instals residential telephone lines and such makes?

What about DSL installers?

My company keeps laying off people and upper managment keeps pooping on us, so I'm thinking about leaving...

I've always wanted to work for the telephone company... I figured I've worked for this company for almost 6 years now, maybe its time to move on...

For the company I work for that would be group 1A pay which is the highest non-managment wage which is the same thing as I. I think the base rate for group 1A is almost $50,000 per year. But everyone in my field (instalation and repair) along with some other Craft positions make way more then that with all the overtime. Its not uncommon to make $80,000 a year installing phone lines. Some guys make over a $100,000 a year but work they *** off doing it which is just a waste of life to me. What is sad is we all make more then our Boss after all the overtime we put in. He is salaried and puts in as much if not more hours then us wich must be a kick in the nuts.

With your experience you should not have a hard time getting hired in several fields of SBC or some other phone company as long as they are hiring.
