I love the head cashier job. Each day presents new and interesting challenges. I try to put the people in the places where they are most likley to suceed, while trying to prevent theft, while solving numerous customer complaints. Most of our customers want to be spoon fed, but..a few are actually interested in how things work. It's kind cool when you can explain to others actually how bi-metallic strips on thier thermostat work and why they shouldn't place them right above/below a vent. I just really enjoy it. I don't enjoy the pay however. I only make $9.50 per hour.

My cost analyst job is much more boring. I input labor and material costs for our contractor to make sure they are doing what they said they were going to do. I get to do a little EVM work as well. It is a co-op so atleast I have a job in my field when I graduate in August. I make 12.14 but get a riase to 15.14 when I graduate. I just hate the job for lack of challenge. Hopefully I can get a job in cash management for some TN corporation. Anything directly related to strategy and finance. LMK if any of your companies are hiring someone in this field.

Wal-mart *****es! I do basically nothing there ( i got hurt almost a year ago, and they are slow to get it fixed, so im on "light duty, and basically my job consists of watering the plants in the summer, being a door greater and watching over the self checkouts)
Ive been there over 2 years now, and im up to almost $12hr to do basically nothing, but i always want more.

I need to get back to school, i left college when my mom got cancer 2 years ago, and i realize how much life sucks lol

My cousin has worked at wallmart for 3 and a half years now and isnt making that much. He is a manager for them as well and makes just over 10 bucks an hour. So I you must be getting someone off in the back for that.

Center Point Energy in Downtown Houston. It's pretty good I just started and it pays 12 bucks an hour. I run a program that tells guys on the job where all the fiber,gas,electric etc lines underground and in the air to watch out for. It's pretty easy.

as for safeway, theres lots of em up here in canada anyway. The walmart with the grocerys attached isnt up here so safeway + walmart = apples and oranges.

I work for Tippmann & Associates. Which is a combination of Thermodyne Foodservice Products, Interstate Cold Storage (biggest refridgerated storage in midwest), Polar King, Polar Leasing, Dun-Rite, Zemco Manufacturing, Summit Manufacturing and a few other little ones.

I fix all the computers that the stupid *** users screw up, and only get paid $8.00/hr.
