I love the head cashier job. Each day presents new and interesting challenges. I try to put the people in the places where they are most likley to suceed, while trying to prevent theft, while solving numerous customer complaints. Most of our customers want to be spoon fed, but..a few are actually interested in how things work. It's kind cool when you can explain to others actually how bi-metallic strips on thier thermostat work and why they shouldn't place them right above/below a vent. I just really enjoy it. I don't enjoy the pay however. I only make $9.50 per hour. My cost analyst job is much more boring. I input labor and material costs for our contractor to make sure they are doing what they said they were going to do. I get to do a little EVM work as well. It is a co-op so atleast I have a job in my field when I graduate in August. I make 12.14 but get a riase to 15.14 when I graduate. I just hate the job for lack of challenge. Hopefully I can get a job in cash management for some TN corporation. Anything directly related to strategy and finance. LMK if any of your companies are hiring someone in this field.
