how can i get ahold of the old school orion cobalt dual shot boxes with the 10" cobalts. those things slammed. a buddy of mine built an astro van with 10 dual shot boxes and 10 cobalt amps. that freakin van made my ears feel like they were bleeding. he hit 153.7db 10yrs ago and for that time that was amazing!

Yes and no about it being amazing. Must remember that Most meters read MUCH lower than meters did back then. IF that was an old audio control it would be prob be like a 144ish on a new lab. And if it was some other meter (I can't think of the name) but there were some around that read even 6 to 10db higher than an old audio control. I assure you 90 percent of the decent brand woofers out here would make them look bad. My friend always debates that well that his old setup sounds as loud as some of the ones we do now but don't meter near as loud and he dont' get it. As I tell him... When you drive around in a loud arse walled system. Then go listen to a guy with 2 12's. it will sound like 6x9's. It is all about current perception. Same way as when you first get your system and get it broke in... It sounds sounds LOUD (hopefully) And after a month doesn't seem near as loud. And you have to get louder for it to feel just as loud

yea if you can do that id appreciate it. the box design was great.and for the turbo car youll have to wait till spring,it has noidea what snow or cold is

ive never heard a box that had 10" subs in it sound so loud. like i said my buddy worked at a great shop back then and they had people takin boxes out of some vehilces because they slammed so hard. its the only 10" designed box that ive heard hit that hard not low but head slammin. i just like them thats all, i know there are way more subs out there that will wreck cobalt but im old school sorry. LATE!

yea i use to look forward to the soundoffs at custom radio. they always had a great turn out and the cars where loud. i remember when they brough that orion van in with 8 15" subs with 4 2100 series amps. that one sticks with me.where you from in buffalo?

Reminds me of everyone talking about the Virtual Tech boxes... I came across one with 2 12's, a friend of mine had one for 2 10's in his new Magnum and I had never seen one personally and I said, huh, thats what everyone is talking about. He asked me what I was talking about and said he had another laying in his garage and let me have it for 30 bucks.... IDK how much appreciation they get on here but I know locally people drooled... Could be another JL bone though..

thats how it was with these boxes around here. people where buyin them like crazy once they got heard. but at first they were a good secret and didnt dissapoint. i would just like to hear them again! i check on ebay from time to time but nothing
