When you guys want new car audio stuff, do you have to save up?

I mostly steal TV's from my place of work in the daytime, and ask my friends to video tape me and then sell both the TV's and the video tapes for profit.

i usually have the cash, if not i sell whatever ill be replacing, i always usually save my amps though you can never have enough amps.

why? Isn't there a point that you get to where you are no longer upgrading but just changing laterally?

Depends on where along life's journey your at..in my case my mortgage eats up a nice chunk of change, I also have a 2 year old so factor in the other expenses (ie. house bills, credit card bills,etc ) and I pretty much take it as I can get it.

I don't plan on evolving my setup often, I save for what I need and move on to the next item until it's done. Maybe somewhere down the line if i think I need something more elaborate I will invest as it is now I have to drop some nice coin for what I 'need'.

I should rephrase that. It isn't changing constantly, I don't have the money to do that, but it is changed pretty often, new little things to try out, etc, etc, New equipment as often as I can afford it it seems like. Once I find something that is "Perfect" to me and I can't find anyway to improve it, I'll be done.

I have to save up. I have rent, college classes, food, and beer that have priority over new car audio equipment.

if i truely cared enough about audio i suppose i'd buy whatever i wanted as i have the means. then again, no piece of audio is worth the 2-6 grand people spend on it as i'd never use it beyond recreational use. however on the flip side, tomorrow i'm going to buy a lot for a house i'm building next year near my parents neighborhood. they are happy as the new sub division is going to increase the amount their house is worth, and i'm happy as it's a good place to live.

I normally save till I can get what I want...but as others have said if its an insane deal I cant pass up I buy it on the spot putting other things to the side....which is horrible I know.
