When playing music for a long period of time...

... what do I need electrical wise to be able to play my music for hours at a time without draining my battery? I usually play my music out of my car at parties and would like to make sure it'll start when it is over.

Should i grab another high reserve capacity battery and an isolator or do i need more? My system pushes around 1k at most but i don't play a lot of bass heavy music when the vehicle is off.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

um if your car is off id highly reccomend a deep cycle battery.. optima works

capacitor wont do anything and isolator is only if you have 2 batteries

hook up your amp remote to a switch so you can switch it off when you want to play with your car off, and then throw a couple of 6x9's with long wires so you can set them on your roof.

2nd battery and isolator main battery will not see the system while playing but 2nd battery will drain

Car off playing means extra deep cycle batteries (more batteries= longer play time) and a means of isolating the starting battery from the reserve bank to make sure you can start the car when its all said and done. That can be done with an isolator or an ignition switched solenoid.

that would take to much for me, i know that when i go to parties, when i get up im gone, outta there. i have a hard enough time opening my car door, let alon crankin a 1/4" ratchet with an 8mm atachment. i wouldnt do it.
