whcih subs 2 SEs or 1 XXX

Ok this is something Ive been thinking about a while and Ive decieded that I want to get RE subs. I just havent decieded which ones. I was thinking about either getting 2 SE 12" or 1 15" XXX. Which do you think would be a better choice. Or Im open to other suggestions. My price budget for subs is no more than $400 and amp $300. Id perfer to keep it below that if possible. Any help would be great.

well im pretty sure 2 12's move more air so it should be louder and im not sure on SQ.

Get the XXX with a Tsunami or Hifonics amp... find a good deal and you can probably get them both. XXX is 399+ shipping from http://www.respl.com, and go on ebay to find the amps, 200-300 plus shipping or so.

Go with the XXX with a hifonics Bx 1500.1. Itll pound like hell, esp. if your port it. Plus its more badass to ahve one really really bumpin sub, and it looks tighter, and it it moves so much you could stare at it all day. I love watchin the 13W7 move (32 mm excursion!). Plus 12's dont hit all the low notes, 15's are just nasty, get the 15XXX.

If you got the space, I'd say XXX will get fukinnn low...but it depends on your music taste...I listen to quite a lot of hip hop and I just got 1 12" SE and it still pounds good even though I'm feeding it 500 wrms...so either way, I think you'd be happy...just if u listen to a lot of hip hop, a 15 would be gettin all the low notes, making your bones shake...bRRrrrrrR lol but yeah, Either way they are both great subs!

what kinda box u plan on putting it in? i highly advice u go ported especially if u get the XXX.

Either way its gona be an awesome setup. XXX's are seriously brutal. give it 1500 watts and say bye to ur hearing. Just wait for MarleySkater420 to jump on this thread.

i have 2 10" Se's with 1200+ watts and hes got a 15" XXX with 1500+ watts. mine are loud. and sound real nice. His is insanely loud, didnt get to hear it enough to hear the SQ but i know its good.

Yeah if I get the XXX I will defiently go ported. Im gonna have to have some help with boxes though as it is something I dont know much about.

Gauntlet - the 15" XXX powered by a Hifonics BX1500d. Thats the exact setup Im leaning towards right now. Please let me know how you like it.

Gauntlet, how did those 15se's sound? I was debating on getting either 2 15 Ses or 2 12 SEs powered by a Tsunami 1800T. Did those SE's give you the bass you were looking for or do i need to lean towards 2 12 Sexx's? I listen to alot of hiphop also
