What's your voltage when ou first start your car in the morning?

My car seems to have higher voltage when it's cold out, possible stock alternator regulator issue? Started my car this morning and the dash is telling me 15.5v... dropped to 14v once the engine warms up.

I think energy passes more efficiently when it's colder...

Mines like 15.1 also, then when I get to school it's 14.8

its normal most newer cars have a temp controlled regulator and when its cold high voltage is ok. When its hot though 15+v would hurt your battery
