Whats your thoughts on RE Audio?

The products are solid, the pricing isn't competitive...'nuff said.

If people want to pay that much, they're not buying junk...but it's not what I'd call "budget minded" at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

We just finished my buddy's single RE SE 12 system and I'm very impressed with it.

Getting 750 watts all day long, sounds very tight and most of all just pounds! Tried installing a Kicker grille to protect it, but the cone has too much excursion so we had to make 3/4" standoffs for clearance. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

This single 12" SE is as loud or louder than the two Eclipse 12's he had before, not to mention takes up lots less trunk space so I'd say RE ftmfw!

well i loved my SX's as well couldnt complain about them at all, handled more power than rec. and they withstood plenty of playing time at once, oh yea forgot to say they got loud. If they werent so expensive now i would upgrade but i cant afford them now so i got to move on

Well sounds like they are pretty descent woofers.. just price is the factor. Knowing some of the US amps guys, for one, I doubt price is going to go down...but if they dont sell as much as they use to then they will end up distributing to tons of wholesalers and you will soon see more places on the net pop up with them...which means better prices...So I guess we will see. Hopefully prices go down, I think I may try out a MT....

For pure SPL there are better alternatives, just like for pure SQ applications there are also better options. But for most of us SQL guys, RE products really fit the bill nicely. Well, maybe not the bill so to speak, with their new pricing scheme. :\

But their drivers are still very good.

If you're going for SPL, there are better subs out there though. I now consider RE to be mid class.
2x out of all of the SPL subs ive used, I found the MT to be the most "ho hum" of them all. so much so I hacked mine up for parts and sold it off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

There is just so much better to choose from now a days, that RE's niche is over with....and thats entirely their decision. I still feel bad for that girl that answers the phone at RE, im sure she had to hear "WTF ? THAT MUCH FOR A RECONE?" probably a million times //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
