favorite tool would be the router or air drill for pre drilling, or DA sander for nocking down rough edges

I made out out of hardboard, worked well except the screws on the bottom kept cutting into the wood because they werent recessed. I just broke it and threw it away

Clamps... You can never have too many clamps of too many different types even if you are building with screws. Routers are nice too and I'm getting one for Xmas.

Really?? Whats your secret??I hated my RotoZip. Even with the "perfect circle" maker that didn't work worth a flying shit. I gave it to my dad. I can get it back if you can explain how you got it to work for you. I usually just use a jigsaw.

with the right bit i just follow a pre scoured line cutslike butter. Of course i dont have a rotosip i have an black & Decker hole saw.

I don't think that tape measures really even count for this because that's a necessary thing, not something that makes everything easier that you could get by without.
