What's your choice: Sundown SAE1200D,MB Quart 1500.1,AudioQ AQ1200d,Audiopipe ap15001

ummmm reliability, yea they do rated but that dosent mean they are reliable, ask any repair man
I don't think I have heard of anyone blowing an ap 1500 or 3000. I have friends who own the 1500 and 1800 and they have never had a problem. Just because it is made in China doesn't mean it sucks.

I did all the research for similar power, and went with the AP15001.d. For $167 shipped like I paid nothing was going to touch it. I've been quite satisfied with it so far, but my reference point is over 10 years old, PPI, and Fosgate stuff (AB amps, much less output).

I haven't read much bad about any of what you posted.

I would love to buy made in America, but to squabble over made in Korea vs made in China is pointless. Both are completely capable of building top of the line equipment. The company doing the sourcing and setting the specs and QC requirements is what makes the difference.

good man

Nope.
Zenon is one of the better amplifier manufacturers out there right now and they're based in Korea. The Chinese stuff, for the most part, isn't as good as what zenon is putting on the market.
Then mention specific build houses and it'd be clear, as you've failed to quote my whole statement with what my actual point was. I'm speaking generically of "made in Korea" vs "made in China". Your point would support my thought, that it's the mfg's setup and specs not the country.

I would get the MB Quart or the Audiopipe. They both do rated and a lil more. You don't need to spend a ton of money on a sundown or audioque amp. The Audiopipe or MB Quart will do everything the sundown and AQ will do but for a much cheaper price.

i've been doing some research myself and i had my heart set on buying a new sundown amp saz-1500d or something. but it seems like mb quarts is good too! now i can't decided again! errr

btw.. i'm half korean.. so im down with "made in korea" products! haha

most ap3000d amps clamp at around 2900 max if you have it full tilt, and thats 2 ap1500d's strapped at 14.4. it has 100 amp fusing standard 80v rails. the mb quart has 140 amp of fusing 2 guage inputs and many clamp tests online showing over 1500rms

Sundown, Crescendo, older RD Audio, the now unavailable DC PAI series, Formula X, etc. All zenon amps.
