Whats wrong with my Subs?

got 2 Rockford Fosgate Shallow P3 12's with a Rockford Fosgate prime class D 1000 watt amp. but when i turn my radio up to about 24-25 the bass is distorted and there is no bass what is wrong? should it be doing this? all my electrical stuff is stock

Could be clipping them which would cause the distorted sound you hear. Stop doing that or you will be buying new speakers very soon. As far as the no bass more details would be needed. Would also be helpful to have the settings on ur amp.

gain and bass all the way up....stock 85 amp alt....duralast batt....haha oh ya u kno what hes rolling

^^^ It's sad but prob tru... Bass Boost gets u them DB's so the higher the better right????LOL

LOL. So my HU goes up to volume 40 so keeping it at 39 is cool right cause thats when it really gets loud LOL

for the OP set ur gains right and lower the bass all the way down on the amp

If you set the gain correctly on the amp the bass remote can be used as a volumn.

Tru but that’s only if you set it up correctly. Unfortunately 99% of people getting into audio do not know how to do this and thus use it incorrectly.

Check the wiring from the amp to the subs if you had someone else install them they could have messed up the wiring. When I had my 4 12s they hooked 2 of them up wrong and it sounded alright on low volumes but when you turned it up it sounded terrible. Found out they wired the voice coils in parrallel but wired negative to positive etc. instead of negative to negative etc. . So check the wiring of your subs and your amp settings.
