Whats wrong with my JL W6?

I have a 10" JL W6 powered by an Alpine MVR-F430 5/4/3 channel amp. The Problem is the bass wont stay on during the whole song. The Bass sounds great but it periodically turns off during songs and then comes back later in the song. Could it be the amp, wiring, or what? Thanks in advance.

Check your wiring, make sure your amp protect light isn't coming on, and make sure all your connections are secure, as well as your fuse/fuse holder.

that happened in my car, it was because there was a crimp in my wire going to my battery, so the subs would turn off and on. I took it to a car wiring specialty shop, and they found the problem right away.
