What's wrong with my amp?

My sub stopped playing. I was told to hook up my ipod to my amp to see if the problem was with my head or rcas. I did this but the sub still wouldn't play. In fact when I hooked my ipod up to my sub amp the protect light came on? What is wrong with it?

Probably blown. check your wiring and make sure you have a solid ground.

It's 2 ohm stable, you sure you didn't have the sub wired below that?
