whats wrong with my amp (infinity 7541a)

I can play my amp for about 9 mins then it will start phasing in and out as if its going into protect until I lower the volume. The tweeter on one of my speakers went out so I disconnected it, but it still happens. Does anyone know what could be wrong? 8guage power and ground with a 60amp fuse connected to kinetik 2400 with Hifonics Hercules also connected to same battery.

I have that amp, and have had no problem with it. One thing I would check though, is your gains. If they are too high that amp will get hot and go into protection mode. Also make sure your ground wire has a solid connection. Make sure all speaker wire from your amp is solid. This is a good start. Hopfully it isn't a defective amp.

your amp could have a lose connection, thermal short, or a bad ground. id check a few of these and go from there. good luck
