whats with all the hype with sundown amps

Good warranty / service, quality product, all models do more than rated power... pretty much anything that you really could want in an amp, IMO.

sundowns are solid amps for sure, but what makes people buy them is the top notch customer service that you can't get anywhere.

I've never owned one. But I am considering it. One of the reasons has already been mentioned. From what I've seen you can get on almost any car audio message board post and Jacob seems to get right on it.

I've seen them put through their fair share of abuse, treatment that no one in their right mind should subject their amps to, and they've come out well. From a build quality perspective, they're solid.

Doesn't mean I would necessarily prefer them over any number of other quality brands out there, such as Arc's XXK's, Helix Dark Blues or A series, Tru, Focal, Rainbow, etc...they're just another option to consider. I hesitate on just recommending Sundown (or any one brand at all) when there's so many other choices to consider.

You cant beat the service you get as other have said. Jacob is always there to help. Also the warranty you get with the amp or amps you buy. 2 year replacement warranty plus once you out of your warranty period you get a discount off the cost of the amp. Cant beat that at all!! Not to mention the amp themselves speak for themselves. Nuff said

amps for people on a budget.....u getting confused with hifonics brutus series..sundown is not an amp for somebody on a budget.

How many have you personally tested ? And what was wrong with them ?

I have very very few complaints about the amps.

Dave Edwards also managed to win a MECA SQ Championship with them as well.

I, personally, think your an idiot. How can you say that the amps "****". You ever used one? How about every put one in a head to head test against other amps that are awesome? Maybe I'm a bit biased, since you know I have owned 20-30 of the amps, and never had a problem out of them?

Who knows, but id say a 3000 watt amp that can run on 16v at 1/2 ohm and do 5kw and not blow up isn't exactly a sucky amp.

Care to give me more ammunition to make you look like a fool further?
