Whats the rap on Alpine speakers

Im thinking about buying some alpine 6 by 9's and 3.5 or 4" speakers. I am wanting some input on the clarity and over handling of thier speakers. I have a CDA 98-27 deck and are wondering what alpine speakers can handle the deck.

Hi there!

I have some 6.5, and 6x9 in enclosed boxes. To me they sound great, Very clear and distinct. They are amped up quite nicely and they seem to handle quite a bit of power with no problems. As anybody will say in this forum there are better out there, it has been my experience so far that Alpine speakers are very good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ive got the type-r 6x9s fitted in an accoustic parcel shelf and they sound amazing, a few mates went for JBLs, hear mine and were shocked how good they sounded. Theres virtually no distortion at high volumes and they do go very loud.

Look pretty sweet aswel.

I have Type S 6x9's in my rear deck and i like them. They get loud and sound good only problem i've had is they dont have much bass but thats what my sub is for anyways. Good sounding speaker overall though for the price.

I am with the above statement, have components and coaxails in the doors and they don't have much bass at all, which is what i wan'ted from my speakers, but get really loud amped off 45rms.

if you properly install your speakers and deaden and seal up your door. the difference in just dropping in the speaker to correctly doing it is quite noticable.

I got the Type S coaxils all around. They are really clear sounding. Like the other guy said they don't have a lot pf bass really, but your subs will provide that if you have subs. I'd reccomend them though.
