Whats the "best" spyware / adware remover

I have this **** thing on my computer somehow, its been there for about 4 days now, i have adaware se pro something or otherm and usualy its awsome for removeing stuff like this but i cant seem to get this **** thing off my computer.

Look at what i have to deal with constantly, this popup bullshit popsup constantly and does not go away, sure you can x out of it but it comes back in 2 seconds claiming it found something else...

What the hell is it and what should i use to get rid of it

Theres an option to get rid of the "protection bar" in the tool bars options but once unchecked, it doesnt do shit.. its still there...

spybot search & destroy, its free google it. make sure you update it often and run it every couple days.

I already have ad aware se PRO mind you, its not finding it..

.I scanned with spybot, it found everything... the onnly problem is, somebody said its free... its not, it scans for free, finds the shit, then when you try to remove it it you wants you to register... maybe im doing something wrong, i searched my torrent sites, none come with a keggen or crack or anything.. so wtf

spybot finds shit thats not on there so that it can get u to buy their shit and delete shit that 1. isnt there or 2. spybots installs it and then deletes it

Spy sweeper works excellently for me. Its not free but its worth it.

Did you have that spyware toolbar before or after upgrading to IE 7?

Try 'HijackThis' from this link........

It scans for adware toolbars and lets you selectively remove spyware.

Just be careful, it also finds everything else that loads when you boot.

Just be sure to use the 'Info' button it has to help you find whats really spyware.

have you tried going into msconfig (in the run menu) and turning all startup programs off? you then turn them back on one by one until you find the one creating the extra IE toolbar. makes it easier to search and destroy yourself...

I would also recomend downoading COMODO firewall and virus prootection...it is free for personal use and once you get it the license is FOREVER! It is a very aggressive Corporate protection program and they increase/develop it's resistance through consumer use (everytime you agree to send COMODO unknown programs access requests.) Go read about it. I have been using it for 4 weeks now, still in learning mode, and I LOVE IT! It puts windows defender and firewall, McAfee, Norton...ALL those POS software programs to shame.

p.s... I was given this info/program by an IT guy for a VERY LARGE corporation.

I use XoftSpy, with a hack for up-to-date deffinitions. I use that in conjuntion with Norton Anti-Virus 2005 updated daily. I also use a few other little programs to make sure everything is found, and removed. If I cant remove it I search for removal info of the certain problem and do it manually.
