hi all i have a pair of 12 spl premier subs that i ran ported for a while in a box that was to big 2.0cu ft. per sub( the box was for other subs) and the ports where 4" x 6.5" tuned to

42 hz

so now im building new set up and wanted to do things right

pioneer says sub needs 1.75 cu.ft.( including displacement 0.083cu.ft)so actually the box is 1.667cu.ft. with a 4"x6.5" port this will be around 46 hz but what if i wanted to use two smaller ports instead is there a proper way to divide by two?

also i know these subs are made for spl but would it be practical to tune them a bit lower ? say around 35hz?
