Whats the most ROWDY boat system you have seen/heard of?

baja_stereo.jpg

now this seems cheesy. not on a wakeboard boat,, but on a Baja,, which are so nasty and loud,, guess you have to drwon out the engine noise somehow!!

The Arc Audio build is OBSCENE!! Not a wakeboarding boat but indeed ROWDY!!

what is so interesting about boat audio and installs, is that you have to jack up the power SOOOO much to compensate for the open air environment and still get the bump you are accoustomed to. Also getting the sound LOUD to a wakeboarder on a rope up to 80 feet behind the boat is a challenge. I know some use compression drivers to facilitate this. I like the fact that even though i cant hear the bass nearly as loud behind the boat,,, that i can feel it in the rope!!

Was actually thinking about running a wired marine remode down the rope so the rider can control his volume/track selection. Hmmmmm...

Anyone have any idea why there is not a dedicated site to marine/wakeboarding boat audio? You go to places like orlando and everyone seems to have at least a little bump in their boat. I was reading a forum a couple of years ago where a guy had invested almost 30k into his system.. Had actually cut open his hull to fill up with sub drivers and amps,, then re-glassed it closed. From the comments he received,, it was obnoxiously loud.. Feel sorry for him when he blows something and has to repair it. Maybe he actually had an access panel built.. dont remember though.

ACTUALLY.....

Since there appears that there is no other very specific forum for quality wakeboard/boat audio, why not propose that CA.com dedicates a section of the forum just for these questions, concerns and advice? I am positive once the wakeboard and other sites start to refer their members,, the traffic will be signifigant..

Just a suggestion, to help people and boost the traffic of the site!

I know there would be many redundant questions that are general enough for the car audio threads to be sufficient, but users with these types of questions could get a quick answer or gently suggested to browse the thread corresponding to their question. A few stickys should easily keep the section from becoming too redundant!

Any moderators considered this?

I would be willing to help!

I know i am a noob to the whole environment,, but through trial and error,, and MUCH help through this forum have gained a relative deal of confidence on marine audio. Can anyonw point me in the direction of a Mod that might want to discuss this proposition?
