Can a pair of 6x9's (150w) sound as good as a sub?

If so whats the diffrence?

6x9 and subs are not comparable as to which will sound better, because they are not comparable. A 6x9 (about 95% of the time) won't have as much bass as any brand of sub. Subs are intended for low frequencies. 6x9s play most middle frequencies, from highs to mid-bass, which a sub can not do, or atleast shouldn't be attempted to do.

6x9 speakers really weren't meant to drop down low like subs do...

A sub will cover ~80 hz and down much better than a speaker...
