What's the cheapest decent amp for 3000+ watts????

Easy fellas, I just want good info from all, I am leaning toward the AP for now and as for the power for the AQ, its the Aluminum coil version and they said 3500-4000 was easy if its clean and you are not stupid with the settings and such.
What kind of electrical upgrades are you going to have? If you already have them took care of just tell me to shut up.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Actually you cant fry a coil from too little power. You can however take that little power, distort it and then the sub will go poof. Name me one incedent when someone underpowered their sub, set gains w/DMM and blew it. Not going to happen. May not be loud, but won't blow.
^^

Every time you turn your volume down you would be blowing your subs if you could blow it from too little power...

This is a myth. People have just started this rumor because you have some retard clipping the shit out of their sub by turning the gain clear the hell up. It's better to have to big of an amp, and just keep the gains lower.

If you have a sub rated at 500 watts, and you get an amp that is rated at 500 watts you're going to want to hit the gain right on the money right? If you do this you may go a little too high, and be clipping the signal. If you have a 500 watt sub, and an 800 watt amp then you are probably safer turning the gain up a little less. This way even if you have the gain a little too high (for the subs rated rms) you might be only giving it 600 watts, but at least it isn't clipping right?

I have 4 guage wire for the charging wire, two factory batts up front (diesel truck) and then I will be getting two smaller 600 size batts for the amps in the back of the truck ran through the cab into the back seat area, I hope this is enough for this setup, I have a 100x4 mid/high amp for the front speaks too soon to be upgraded as its a cheapo! LOL!

You are going to need bigger charging wire, and an HO alt wouldn't hurt either. As for the small thread jack soory but I can't stand ignorant assclowns who think they know everything. PM if you want that amp let me know but it's first come first first serve as they are just liquidating older models.

i would say better only because they do rated power and the newer hifonics are overrated
Umm, you do realize that Hifonics and Crunch are both Maxxsonics products, correct? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

And you need to learn something before you talk. The newer Hifonics do rated power, the older ones are overrated.

He was comparing Audiopipe to Hifonics.
