With everyone going nuts over redtop optimas? I just looked at sears DIEHARD GOLD NORTH battery and it has 845 cca compared to 800 cca for the redtop. Reserve capacity was also higher for the diehard. Cost of the diehard- 86.00 compared to 134.00 for the optima. I know that the yellowtop has value being a deep cycle, but why do so many people that post here rave about the redtop as one of the better STARTING BATTERIES? I thinks me money better spent on the diehard!!!

The way they are meant to be used. The other batteries begin to fail after repeated complete drains.

if you have a good electrical system, you won't drain them. imo you can spend your money better then on a redtop

The reason I started this is because----------------------------------------------------my shit died on me today after 13 years and i have been looking on the net for a replacement.The old INTERSTATE MEGATRON has searved me well.
