whats the best way to wire 1 sub?

i got a 1000watt 2 channel amp (probly 400watts rms) and right now im using one MAW12 DVC 350watt rms in a single sealed enclosure (going to build a ported soon) ive had bad experiences wiring subs, my last 2 blew within an hour of wiring them, when i say blew i mean on one of them, a voice coil went out, on the other one, both voice coils blew. i had it wired to put out an 8ohm load. the maw12 is 4ohm+4ohm. i belive i have it wired in series using both coils. got any detailed explanation on how to wire the sub? the amp is a pyle dryver 1000watt (shitty i know.... but its all i got for now)

Why not just run one channel to each VC? So it'd be getting like 300W of pyle dryving power. (150x2 at 4ohm..more like 100)

how would i wire each channel to each voice coil? ive thought about it but dont know how, i mean yea i know how to wire it.. but when it gets to the box, it only has 2 terminals. posotive and negative. if i were to wire each channel to each coil, i would need to run 4 wires from the amp to the sub, how do i bypass the box terminal?

if its sealed box you could always run it out by the speaker where it screws down but that leaves a air leak. also when you said you wire it to a 8ohm load if you ran both speakers to the same channel or wire them together it make sit 2ohms wouldnt make it 8ohms so you could of blew thme like that

im only using one sub bridged, on the sub it went posotive from box terminal to posotive on the sub (coil 1) then neg on the box to neg on the sub (coil 2) then posotive to negative on the remaining terminals from coil 1 to coil 2

just wire both vc up and then have a 3rd wire, wire the negatives together and the positives together to make it just one wire hook it to your terminal cup then run a wire from the terminal to the amp and bridge
