12" RE SX Box

I have never run a ported setup before that was actually built correctly. I have access to a box that is 1.735 ft^3 net tuned to 36 hz with 26 in^2 of port area. Would this work alright for an sx 12 or should I make one a little bigger with a lower tuning frequency and more port area. This is going to be a daily driver and I want an SQL setup. I will have 1200 watts powering the sub....If there is not much difference in overall sound between this and the re reccommended enclosure this would save me a lot of hassel.

Try it in that box and see how you like it. You can always make a new one if it doesn't work out.
