What's the best way to ship a subwoofer inside of an enclosure?

Expect to pay a metric butt-ton in shipping costs. Honestly, just plan on shipping them separately. Shipping with the sub in the enclosure seems like a recipe for disaster and there's a reason you don't see it done here often.

That's how the one I'm trying to sell came lol

Then consider yourself lucky. I, personally, would never. Maybe some of the more seasoned vets with shipping audio equipment can chime in here.

Even if it's secured inside the enclosure with foam inside of it and foam in front of the cone?
Have you ever looked outside the window of your airplane before it takes off or right after it lands and see how the ground crew handles the luggage? It's 10 times worse in the shipping industry. FedEx seems to be one of the few left who actually give a damn. Just make sure whoever you use, insure it for at least what it's worth. Most places include 100 bucks of insurance for free.

True, I was thinking of wrapping it up with something and making a brace for it with wood so it's pretty sturdy in there.

But I'll probably find a sucker on craigslist.

It's a new Kicker CVR 15" in a ported enclosure.

I say new, but I've played it once to make sure it worked.

Lol I know. Kickers are overpriced.
I'm really getting into the AB XFL 12. It's great that it's made in America too:)
Same with SSA, JL, and a few other companies, but I like where your head is at. Have you set yourself a budget and included a new enclosure in it?

It's made in China.... Don't let the name fool you. It's still an amazing subwoofer though, especially for the price.
American wound coils :p

I'm having double 07 make me a box right now.

I still have to get the sub, big 3, and an amp.

Hopefully not, but a battery too.

I plan on running it on 2kRMS.

Depending on the amp and to really make the XFL shine, I'm thinking at least replacing the starting battery should be considered. Just talk to mylows. Sometimes he'll surprise you with the pricing he can do on equipment (AB, specifically).
