Thoughts on the system I'm purchasing, need advice.

Hey guys, new here.

I'm looking to purchase a few things for my 07 Tiburon SE (Special edition)

The infinity speakers are already good enough for me, and I don't plan on upgrading them anytime soon.

However, I am upgrading the head unit, sub, and amp.

I am really new to the car audio scene, so I'm still learning.

I am going to have help when installing everything.

With that said this is what I plan on getting. (it won't let me post links as a new member)

Headunit: Pioneer AVH-P2400BT

Amp:Alpine MRX-M240

Subs (two): Alpine SWR-12D2

Can just google the name and crutchfield is where I've been shopping.

I will be buying most of it from Amazon or another source, as crutchfield's prices are too high.

The subs will be about 150 each, head unit will be about 275, and the amp will be about 450.

I'd like to power the subs at full, hence the amp.

The head unit might also change but who knows.

Anyway, will everything work together okay?

And I realize I am probably going to need another battery/alternator setup.

what car is it going in and do you have any electrical upgrades..(extra battery, upgraded stock battery cable?)

there is a LOT better and maybe cheaper...especially the amp

I really doubt there is a lot better in terms of the subwoofers and headunit, but yes the amp I am definitely looking for advice on!

I just need something to give both 1000 watts.

And it's going in an 07 Tiburon SE, like the post says.

I'd consider a different amp. Type Rs are good for the price, but the amps are overpriced. Get the D4 versions of the Type Rs and look for an amp that will give you around 1500-2000w at 1 ohm. Just be aware that 2 12s on that much power will be very loud and overpower your other speakers.

My budget is great sound and a double din within reason.

I wasn't seeing any better subs for 150 dollars, and the Type R's are pretty well reviewed for the price bracket.

I don't really have a budget I can put a price on.

If something looks great for the price I am interested.

Absolutely no more than 500 on an amp, and no more than 150-200 per sub.

Head unit no more than 300.

What amps might you sugguest? to give me somewhere to start.

Yeah I'm really not willing to budge on the Type R's, these things are killer for the price for anyone that has sat in a car with two properly set up.

And yeah =[ I'm realizing the two 12's are gonna be crazy, I will probably dial them down a lot and eventually give in and get new speakers. lol

The type R a decent at best sub for the money...
Your opinion definitely different from 95% percent of the people I've talked to about this.

If you think the Type R's are "decent" for 150 dollars, provide me with a few links to what you'd get for no more than that.

95% of people don't know what they're talking about. It's true that Type Rs have good *rated* power handling for their price, but the sound quality could be a lot better. I'm not too impressed with the durability of them either, my friend has already blew up two of them
