What's the best way to keep factory head unit but still have some sort of EQ

I just bought a new car and i want to keep the factory head unit/phone system in it.

I have two alpine amps, a pair of front and rear splits and a JL TW13 Sub i want to put in the car.

Can anyone recommend a decent processor that allows me to connect my amps to the factory head unit. I want something that has a bit of EQ as the factory unit only has bass or treble. But i dont want to spend big bucks on something like the rockford 3sixty.

Any advice would be appreciated

It's a Mitsubishi Triton 4WD ute (in Australia).

It has steering wheel controls and voice activated controls. It's not that i am too fussed by these, but the only other head unit i have is a kenwood single din so by the time i buy a single din pocket, the facia to go around the deck as the factory on is very large, and a steering wheel control adapter. I figure i may as well just keep whats there and connect my amps up.

Oh, and they dont make an after market facsia kit for my car. The genuine one costs over $100 for a bit of plastic and 2 brackets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Ok, i'll start looking into processors.

Since i will be using front and rear speakers and a sub and the factory head unit only has front and rear speaker outputs, how do i connect to the processor for the sub?

Also, is it better to get a processor that has a equalizer built into it or should i get cheaper line drivers and run a separate EQ?
