Whats the best way to install....

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what people thought about what the best way to install the power wire (for an amp) and run it to the trunk of a 2004 Ford explorer. On my old car I ran it through the inside of the door frame covers.Should I do it the same way or is there a better way to go. Under the carpet maybe, I think I've seen someone run it actually under the car but I'm not too sure? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Drill a hole through the firewall, install a grommet, run the wire though, then under your carpet.

through the fire wall and either under the carpet or underneath the paneling thats along the doors. whichever is easiest for you.

in my integra i went straight down the middle of the car underneath the carpet because its a small car and the center console made it easy to get under the carpet.

in my silverado ran it under the plastic along the doors.

Thanks guys! those were both the ways I figured but I just wanted to make sure. I'm tryin' to do it right this time ad make everything look clean and flush with the new car.

Lol..I was thinking the same thing. I would avoid the center of the car if possible. Edges under the carrpet are fine. Ever see someones carpet start to glow because they didn't fuse the power wire and it shorted? Make sure u fuse the power wire properly.

You shouldn't have to drill a hole in the firewall. Just run the wire through the factory grommet.

I have an 05 and there is a hole that I fit 4 runs of 0ga threw rite above the gas pedal..and you wouldnt believe how much space is down each side of your ride

yeah, i have a ranger(similar design) and i fit 4 ga through no problem.
