I have a rockford fosgate 1000.1 bd, an one day i was playing some music an driving an when i went to turn the bass knob up like i have a million times, my amp just turn off. So when i got to my house i find out it popped the fuse, so i check to see if any wires had came loose an touched or anything, an found nothing. so i put a new fuse in, an turn it on, an my amp makes a high pitched noise for like 3 seconds as it powering up an then pops the fuse again without even starting to play music.

Any ideas as to what might of happened or be wrong with my amp?? i've heard from a local stereo shop that it could be the bass knob, an to try it without it hooked up, but same thing happened. an that was even in a different car, so its not the wiring kit.

but still idk how to fix it, or where to even start.

my fuses are 80.

isn't it bad to make it so the fuse wont blow? cause then it can **** up my battery an alternator, correct? an i cant afford to replace those again! haha
