Whats the best looking head unit??

Id much rather have the Denon, the buttons dont look like cheap plastic
That is my main dislike of the naks. While they sound nice, they dont look or feel the part. The internal cd changer is rather noisey and takes a while to load a cd.

The Denon simply outclasses just about all the high end offerings cosmetically. They look and feel very well built.

I still would rather have the clarion...it performs many roles well. I know XM isn't for SQ, but sometimes the variety of XM is worth the tradeoff. If/when I go serious SQ, I will shoot for that deck

Aethestics aside Manny, have you ever had a chance to listen to a Denon unit? I've yet to but would be very curious how they "sound." Pairing the lesser DCT-100 and that DCX processor would be interesting.

Only Denfords, at which time I didnt do much 'listening', but it did sound nice (the install it was in)

Judging by your products in your sig and you questioning the mechanics does show that the Denons/Naks/Macs/etc would indeed be too much for you. To question "features" also does the same.
Please dont take offense to this, as that is not how its intended. These particular HUs fill a niche in most car audiophiles needs, which alot of average consumers cannot fathom the cost in doing so.
Im sure i dont need "Denons/Naks/Macs'' etc. to compete against your system. even though mine may not cut it, im sure a normal person could upgrade and have a system that sounds as good as what you suggest

I seriously doubt it. There is more to upgrading than buying more expensive equipment. There is also tuning/ sound deadening/ etc.

Im sure your right, and we can continue to act like we believe that. Owning the product itself doesnt make a setup sound good or 'superb', most of that is contributed to the install detail.

No thank you , got a P9 sitting in the closet , waiting on my broke arse to buy the processor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
