haha yea i know is it sad that one of the reasons that i dont wanna switch from alpine... ever is because the volume and the pause, track seek and source buttons are all on the same side.....

you guys think the Denon actually looks good?????????

it looks like a factory deck. any avergae person would think its nothin but a factory deck almost

now im not saying anythin bad about it since i have no experience with decks or the company. but for that price tag as well, i could find a whole lot of better things to buy

Thats the whole point. Your paying for the supurb mechanics of the the unit, not the flashy lights.

well thats TOO much money for nothing too spectacular mechanics. i mean EXTRA features does it have over a normal high-end deck????

and there are a lot of decks, especially pioneer, that dont have all flashy lights. id take a metal coated/finished deck with a simple one color display over that Denon anyday and in the process, but other stuff with the extra cash

Judging by your products in your sig and you questioning the mechanics does show that the Denons/Naks/Macs/etc would indeed be too much for you. To question "features" also does the same.

Please dont take offense to this, as that is not how its intended. These particular HUs fill a niche in most car audiophiles needs, which alot of average consumers cannot fathom the cost in doing so.

x2. Plus the "steal-me" look. A guy the other day asked me if I got my 3-way setup at a flea-market because he has never heard of Raindbow. I said yes, but I kinda think I got ripped. I feel pretty confident he is isn't going to break into my car to steal my speakers now. If I had alpine, pioneer, or JL Audio, etc then he might think it is worth it to relieve me of my setup.
