I know I'm jumpin in late in the game but.......

IMO... 2k daily with 2 good subs will beat nice, but 1 really good sub, something a bit more top shelf with a sh*t load of power and a good box works better in a car. Why? trying to fit an enclosure for 2 in a trunk will limit you on size per sub where as going with 1 monster and giving it a lot more space for enclosure will turn out better sound and just as much thump. I cant tell you how many people were surprised when they saw I was running 1 15" cause it pounded hard, low, and loud. I had it in a 4cft enclosure with 6" aeroport tuned to 30hz with a sundown 3k all day. I love the aeroport more than bandpass because it's output is consistent across the bass frequency range, bandpass is louder around the tuned frequency but the drop off at other frequencies is substantially lower.

You should take your time and listen to different subs and setups to get a feel of what like, some people swear by bandpass others say horn loaded enclosures are better. The 1 thing that is consistent is that every one has an opinion but your car, your ear, your $$. Take your time build, sell, rebuild, sell.......... and on and on we go till we find the perfect sound that fits our taste

i for your looking to just have 2k daily. with 2 subs alot of subs will take that amount of power. why not just buy one beast and run 2k to it. trick your friends and make em think you have multi subs lol
