dc xl 12" vs ssa xcon 12"

gonna be a lot of nuthuggers here lol but we will see what people say. im gonna either run the dc xl 12 or the ssa xcon 12 at 5k watts. tuned in the low 30's going in a 2006 honda civic si in the trunk. if you had to choose between the two, which would you chose and why?

hard choice.dc is a great daily sub,the xcon ,dont know .but what i do know about them is they made by ascendant / fi which make great subs that get very loud and take alot of abuse

they also have small box requirements, but i heard the xcon gets real low and has great sound quality. god its such a hard choice!

thats why im leaning more towards the xcon. i know they get loud as hell, and sound great doing it. i think its all gonna come down to if i can fit the xcons in my trunk with proper port and box requirements. most likely gonna have to go aeros.

you shouldnt have any problems fitting a single xcon 12 in a civic trunk with proper enclosure... i've done a few of those exact builds.... it's not a hatch is it?

i cant wait to measure the exact specs of the trunk. for an xcon im gonna need 4-4.5 cubs after displacement but the xl's ill only need 3. haha.

With that kind of power the clear choice is the ZCON. I dont think any of those subs are going to like that kind of power, but especially the SSA subs. From what I have heard they dont get much louder being played above RMS, anyway (SSA subs)

well im not going to actually give them that much power. thats just a round-a-bout. im not sure whether im going to buy a dc 5k, or the skar 4500d that comes out in march. i wont be using all of the power. most likely 4k on it. (wanna leave some room)
