ok so which one would i need link me one i would need so i dont waste money. or is the on someone linked to me before good for me?You don't need the $1000 one, lol. Big things are frequency range, number of inputs, memory, triggering options and the screen res and color. For setting an amplifiers gain, the features the $200 one has are still overkill, as it reads up to 10mhz, 500 times higher than a human can hear.
There's no point in buying one if u don't even know what a sine wave is........ok so which one would i need link me one i would need so i dont waste money. or is the on someone linked to me before good for me?

love it, easy as hell to use

a scope will show you when the sound wave is clipped
all you have to do is unplug your speaker/sub, hook up the scope to the speaker wire or amp/deck and play a 50hz test tone for the lows and a 1khz test tone for your highs
just keep turning up the volume/amp gain until the wave starts to turn square

clipped sound wave, the top and bottom of the wave become flat
