each chamber (2) is 1.2ft^3 the ports are external and they are 2.5" wide, 2.5" long and 12" tall.

so they are slot port 2.5x12 and they are only 2.5" long? this states the tuning is around 90 hz

With that size of box you would need at least 36" of port length to get down to 40 hz, and depdning if you want sq,sql or spl could be alot longer.

OH ok, as the box sits (with no drivers sicne they will displace some of the airspace) it is tuned to approx 30.28 hz.

With the driver in there it coudl be anywhere from 33-36 hz tuning. do you know the displacement of the driver?

Thats a nice looking box, how do you get the screws flush with the MDF? Have you had the subs in it yet??? How does it sound?? Awesome work!!

The box was built by Mr. Marv from elite car audio. he built my first box and now this one. He is a great guy and does EXCELLENT work. The screw holes are opened a little and then countersunk screws are used. I will get a closeup for you. the only thing is that he is very busy so you WILL wait for your box. IMO its worth the wait.

what amp are you using to power them. the 1000/1 on your sig?

are the port actualy 2.5" x 2.5" x 12" and an internal volume of 1.15cu ft after sub displacement.

the tuning will be more in the 22.77 +- 5Hz

don't quote me on this. but ill like to know.

if you power each sub to the 300wrms rating or 600wrms to both subs.

youll have an estimated port noise @40hz and below.
