Whats louder 2 Kicker L712 in a ported box with 2 cuft tuned to 37 running on a PG TANTRUM 1200.1

or

1 MagnumD2 15 inch in a 4 cuft ported tuned to 32 on the PG Tantrum also.

Well since SQ doesn't matter, I'm leaning towards the L7's b/c of more cone area. But the D2 isn't far behind b/c of the amount of power it is recieving.

I'd say L7s would be louder. each L7 12 has almost as much Sd as a single 15

or cone area, bigger cone=more sound reproduction. Square subs have 20% more cone area then other typical round subs of the same size!

I'd prolly lean towards the L7's too, although I've never heard a magnum, I would find it hard to believe that one 15 of anything could drown out two L7's. **** with a 1200.1 on them.....****, ya that'd be pretty loud man. Lookin to hear a Magnum as soon as I can.

2 l7 12's ported vs. 1 mag 15 ported none being underpowered is not even close. The l7's will be way louder.

Ok i see that two 12 L7s will get Louder. But how about One 15L7 in a 3 cuft port Or one Magdum d215 in a 3 cuft box ported on the PG tantrum 1200.1

I would say the l7's will get louder but you have to realize these are 2 different subs. The l7 are spl subs and the mags are sql subs. l7's will get louder but mags will sound better. Also both those subs require way more space than 3^ft ported. The mag recommends 4^ft ported minimum and the l7 4-6^ft ported.
