whats is a better design? 6-8 DD1508's trunk'd

i have a friend that just purchased a few DD 1508's and he wants me to build a nasty enclosure for the trunk. he planning on running a 5K amp, probably sound digital, and 4 kinetik HC 1800's, or 2 2400's. trunk to cab opening is 15" high x 36w. the highest that can be in the trunk is 15" becouse if the lid lifters.

that was the plan anyway

he has 6 on order currently but can pick 2 more up. its a 2002 olds alero 4 banger.

good thats the one i wanted to go with, i have room for the big *** port, so the box can be a bit smaller and i can fit the batteries and amp.

how would these sound in a fourth order? or sixth order side clam...nvm..probably don't have the room with that many of them

IIRC I dont think they do very well in 4th and 6th order, But I might be thinking of a different driver.

i screwed up the first design theres only supposed to be 4 a side.

my goal is to break a 150 with his car. im thinking im going to have to have alot more than 5K though, we wont be building this until after tax time the weather is too crappy/cold here.

another delema:

he wants to be as close to 1 ohm as possible. the best thing i can figure is to get these in a D4 configuration, wire them up to 8 and parallel 3 together then series the 2 chains of 3 together to give me 1.33 ohms. or is this not possible im bad at figuring out multiple sub wiring. i guess thats whi i've always ran 1 amp per sub. lol

do the coils in series and subs in parallel for your 1.33 load.

yes and no...you would parallel them again not series to get 1.33...easier way is to wire each sub parallel to 2ohm then pair it to another in series to give you 4 ohm do that to have 3 pairs all to 4 ohm then parallel them together to get 1.33 ohm
