hi i have a 97 chevy silverodo i put a new deck in and a new sub with a pretty new amp but in i turn it up everything works good for about 40 min then everything starts sounding all distorted and crackly idk whats going on also my deck and amp heats up really hot and really fast if anyone knows wat my issue might be please tell thank you

Do you own a volt meter? You need to see where your voltage is dropping to. Also what is your electrical like and where did you ground your amplifier to? If you chose a bad ground it can appear fine at first then s soon as you put a drain on it it will drop verrrry low.

everything is hooked up right but it still does it for some reason ppl say it could be a bad amp but its new or it could be the deck thats new as well one speaker was blown but i disconnected it i really dont know whats going on i have had 4 different places look at it they all say its cleanly set up but when i crank it up it works good for about 40 min then messes up and i take the deck out and its so hot i cant touch it

For starters don't do that to your system anymore cause you'll end up frying something. Check all of your grounds and ensure the paint has been sanded down to bare metal and that the wire is attached tightly to the metal. Also get a volt meter to check and see what you're dropping to.

the system i have is a gothic amp 900w polkaudio 12" sub a kenwood deck and 2 infinity door speakers i honestly do not know when the issue is coming from i checked everything

you wont get any help unless you listen to these guys lol, you coulda hooked something up wrong, your settings could be way off, have you checked with a ddm? you cant just plug a system in and go, ive learned that, not the hard way though.. lol
