Whats deeper? 2 - 12's or 1 - 18

it'll only sound bad if he doesn't build the box correctly. i have the same pioneers (10's) and they are in a ported box. the bass is absolutely accurate, even at high volumes.

Acutally my subs are in a custom sealed/ported box haha.

Its LOUD! but sounds brutal. When you crank it, you get a full back massage. THats the only nice part

ehh....in theory the 18's woould be louder...turns out i was thiking of 15's....but 19's have more cone area than 2 12's.....

and to find out jus multiply the xmax by the cone area....larger number wins the who's louder contest.....

i own an 18 and it is louder than 2 12s of the same kind...it goes lower and louder...if i want to listen to country or rap or rock or spl(which it does very well in) i can do it...it can be snappy as a 10 or not...depens on the bax and the way it is hooked up(hz)

go with jmac and all of the people who say the same..they and him said what i would have....not very many people own an 18...so some one who just wants to think that they know a lot about them might but not most of the time..

larger cone area=louder

due to excursion differances it may alter..

if you took one fosgate hx2 12 and one hx2 18 and used the same amp each in a ported box the spl is 3 bd different..18 is louder..that it 2x louder
