my origional plan was to buy 2 12in alpine type R's then i changed my mind and thought i might go with 2 12in S12L7 solo barics. are either of these worth buying or should a go with rockfords or mtx? then i need to know what amp(s) ill need to power either one. does anyone know where you can get amps for cheap? im new to this and i dont want to look like a fool with a crappy system. im going for spl over sq

I have 2 solobaric L5's 15"...i have tsunami bd1100 pushing them...i have them in 2 separate boxes 1.5 cu each....it all depends what kind of sound you want

well, what's your budget? and also, how much room do you have for a box? we can help ya out mass...and depending on how much you want to spend...there's a few other companies that will def. be better. The L7's aren't a bad choice for your application...but you also have a few other choices. peace

i would go with the kicker speakers.. I ordered my tsunami from edesignaudio.com but when i went on the website yesterday the amps were no longer available...you could probably go to the website and send them an email and find out where you cold get it...i paid $254 total with shipping to Texas

if taht s all you want to spend on subs you may have to look at another brand...i paid $380 for bothof my L5's with the boxes..they dont need that much space which is one good thing

check out edesignaudio.com about the tsunami....it puts out 1100w rms...I love it....and seeing as the L7's are 1000w rms that amp will knock em

I'll throw in my .02 cents...

I'd say go for 2 dual 2 ohm L7 12"s, and a Tsunami BD1800T off of ebay from eD (if you can find them...or just call them and ask about it)...Port it, go for about 6-7 cubes after displacements tuned in mid 30's...should pound wang...

heh, i was just going to suggest this...but you beat me to it! this setup gets my vote! make sure they are dual 2ohm like he said! and that map is only like $350 or so. That would be an AMAZING setup. good luck, peace

This may sound crazy to all of you especially to you snova031, but have any of you read the ratings and what not on the pioneer premier ts-w2000spl they are 140$ each which would fit your 300$ price range on subs. Take a look at them: http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=piotsw2000spl&store=&catid=369

For an amp I have heard nothing bad about the lanzar d3000m you can get it for like 350$ shipped.

So this setup would save you lots.

The other ideas are nice also.

only that kickers are notorius for needing a LOT of space...moreso than most subs...well..daily subs..the l7 15's will run him bout 500+shippin off ikesound and the amp like what...350?not sure exactly..thats round 900ish after everything...not bad..specially since its gonna hit like none other in ur car........on a different note...i wanna put my XXX in my friends civ and watch it fall apart...its like made of tin foil hahah
