Whats a better tuning for metal and hard rock. I keep seeing posts that say a higher tune like 37hz is good, but than I keep seeing a lot of posts saying a lower tuning like 32hz is better. So which should I choose??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I got a 2005 Type R 12inch with 400watt rms to it (yes I know thats not a lot for that sub) I finally figured out how to build a box. So which tuning is better for really fast double bass and will keep up and sound good. I will probably make is like 2.5 cubes unless someone suggests otherwise. Thanks!

i listen to rap but with that power i would go with the 37hz tune because its a bit louder, but thats just me, unless you're gonna get a better amp later on, or just build two boxes:)

I'll probably get a better amp later, but that will most likely also be in a smaller car so I would have to build a new box anyway. I dont really care if its not as loud as possible, because I'm an SQ guy all the way. So with that in mind, which would be better. Also, im not limiting it to 34hz or 37hz, that was just an example.

Ok, so a lower tuning it is. At 30hz, PowerNaudio said I would have rock bottom lows, will it play anything that isnt very low well, or will it make everything sound lower? Sorry, im a noob.
