hi guys.

i have a tab2 10.1 tablet i have been using throw my pioneer 3.5 jack.

i dont see many using the tab but using the ipad.

why ?

is there any difference in sound q?

would love to plat throw the Bluetooth but my h/u will not do that with my tab. not sure if the ipad will or not.

but anyway im making a custom full length center console and im going to mount one of these in there.

but if the ipad is better then ill get one.

i just dont want to spend that kind of money just to find out its no better then what i have.

is it ??

You just asked whats better honda or toyota. EVERYONE is going to give you an OPINION no fact. There isnt any better between the two in my family we use all apple products 4 iphone 6, ipad, macbook pro, macbook air, and desktop mac. Why? We just like them. The ipad is very simple to use and a tablet i guess if your used to it can be just as simple but when i try using one im lost. With apple you get a "oooooooo" factor when you say you have an ipad but id rather use a tablet as they can swap memory cards and an ipad cant so you can have seperate memory cards for seperate types of music which i think is awesom you NEVER have to worry about memory being full.

root ur tab and install Viper4Android, u will get amazing sound
Viper4Android kicks ***.

Also, I hate almost all products Apple so the Tab is better IMO. You pay way too much for an iPad. The specs, speed, storage, etc. are better on the higher end Galaxy tablets and are cheaper or the same price.

They achieve the same thing as tablet computers, but using different operating systems. I don't get why anyone would want to stick a tablet in their dash, but if that's your thing I'd go with the tab because of the expandable memory, as mentioned above. Apple literally makes hundreds on flash memory because they don't allow you to pop a cheap microSD card in your device. This isn't an issue for many users, but if you're trying to store a large music collection, you don't want to pay a premium to get the space you need.

The one thing Apple has going for them is their popularity. Because of this you'll find a lot of head units with iPod integration. I haven't tried it myself, but if your head unit supports USB thumb drives you should be able to set your Tab to USB disk mode (or something like that) and let the HU read the files as MP3s or whatever you have. Either way, if you can connect a device without bluetooth or an aux cable the device will send the data digitally to be converted by the HU's DAC - If you're looking for the cleanest sound, this would be it.

If both your HU and tab support bluetooth, there must be a way to connect them. I'd suggest further exploring that route before making any unnecessary purchases.

ya thanks. i have tried doing Bluetooth. now it does like but its for calls . i cant stream music from tab to h/u . i have tried everything.

and its not going into my dash, going into my center console. and its going to be removable . i like it because it holds allot of files. that and i like internet on the go... lol. and no i dont have a smart phone with internet. i have cricket wifi devise im installing into my dash so i have internet anywhere.

Rooting is really a piece of cake, I think they now have programs that are one step, just click and it does the work for you. All android devices I have, phone or tablets are rooted. Great for removing all the bloat and needed for installing custom roms which I always recommend to friends. Rooting will let you install a custom recovery program like TWRP or CWM which is a must in my view.

Very important to have your devices device drivers installed so the rooting programs can find your device, etc.

If you root your device, install the free version of titanium backup so you can remove any bloat you don't want. Just do research as to what apps can be uninstalled without causing issues with the OS like freezing and errors.

XDA is a superb source for tons of info. They have sections for each device which makes life easy.

ok i have been playing with viper4android and wow some amazing shitt there...
