Whats better Alpine or Pioneer

Whats a better HU a Alpine CDE-9852 or a Pioneer DEH- 4900IB i had a 9852 looking to buy a 4900IB just wondering if its worth buying it or if i should wait to find a better one?

I've always preferred Alpine even though I've had my fair share of Pioneers as well. What functions do you want on the deck?

as long as it as a input in the back that i can hook my EQ up 2 and it can play mp3 cds and has a good EQ on it for my insides for turning the bass down and the vocals up im good with it i liked my old Alpine it had alot of features that i dint use alot but i still liked it, i had a couple Pioneers before the Alpine but out of all of them i always like the Alpine better.

I have a pioneer premier right now, and LOVE it, but i wouldnt mind trying one of the newer alpine units.

never had any pioneer stuff. i can tell u that alpine products are great tho...and they look nice too lol

i really liked the Alpine but im just wondering how the Pioneer compare to it i looked online and it says it has 5 more rms rating to the speakers and imna be running my 5 insides off the HU untill i get another 4 channel for them and it says you can search by title, song, artist just like the Alpine so idk it looks a little better iv just liked Alpine better for some reason

I've had problems with Pioneers. Never had a problem with any of my Alpines so I'd have to say Alpine

Agreed. Since Alpine went to Best Buy I have had no luck with them. I switched back to Pioneer and am happy as hell with them.
