WHat's a line driver

What's a line driver for? Does it just boost the voltage of your preamp outputs?

Yup, that's pretty much the functio of line drivers. DUnno if it's very different from balanced line drivers. Guess it must be the same thing. 8volts should be awesome.

FYI, Clarion once offered a deck that had 9volt output.
