What's a good woofer to use with the Tantrum?

Well, I guess I'm back. I'm not really sure what would be the best woofer or woofers for my Tantrum 500.2. I am currently using a Punch HX-2 in a ported box. It sounds pretty sloppy at times, and the higher bass sounds pretty weak. I am going for SQL with some SPL, more importantly SQL. All input is appreciated.

1 12" id max, diamond d6 or jl 12w6 will sound real nice off that amp. Either way make sure you get a single 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm sub for that amp. You'll wan't to run that amp bridged with a 4 ohm load.

well those hx2's should get pretty loud... what size box is it in and what is it tuned too

I would recommend a SI Magnum for that amp...dual 2, and that amp will do around 500W @ 4.
