I'm thinking about adding a 10" or 12" sub in place of my center console in my SportTrac. I've got roughly 1 cube to work with (maybe a little bit less so leaning toward the 10")
I currently have an Alpine MRP-M350 powering 2 8" Kicker Comps. I also have an Alpine MRP-F240 powering my 4 door speakers.
Can I get away with either running 3 subs totalling a 4 ohm load which would be 200 RMS for all three, or taking my rear door speakers off the amp and powering the 10" for 100 RMS?
I'm thinking the 10 would be a dual 4 ohm Alpine or Power Acoustik and I'm a low class SQL person
I'm trying not to put another amp in, but if I really have to I could. It has to do with money and places to put stuff. My install is very stock looking, so I'm not sure where I would put the third amp and like I said I really don't want to add it unless it's ABSOLUTLY necessary.
Please give me any input and suggestions. Thanks.
