whats a good smaller tweeter ?

hi guys,

im really wanting to replace all of my tweeters ( 8 total ) sq supper tweeters. i like them sound good and get loud as helll, but want less.

with 1 or 2 smaller ( per side ) really good ones.

but im not rich so.....

is there something out there that will get LOUD and really clear .

want good/great sound quality .

what would you recommend ?

No that you haven't thought of this, but why don't you just have less tweeters? I feel like that should do the job.

I should have let you hear the soundqubed super tweets lol... definitely could do better.

i like them...

and ya i did consider just using 2 on each side. but if im going to do that i rather get some better tweeters.

ya im sure there not the best sounding.

thats 1 reason i want better.

but im trying to go for...

less ( want to do a stealth setup )

and want the best sound i can get with little money..

ya i know but i cant work so have to do what i can.

when i do get them, im going to sell mine to get some money back.

anyway im going to look them links up, thanks guys.

but is there anything smaller and not a supper tweeter ?

i think of " super tweeter " as what i have now.

man just dont know what to get.

thoses prices look ok so lets say about $100 per i think i could do. would have to get 1 at a time but...

o and forgot to say, my tweeter amp ( 100rms at 4ohm --175rms at 2ohm )

with my setup im running 2 tweeters per ch at 2ohms.

and have 2 4ch .

so 2 ch. on each amp is running my tweeters.

i know it really does not matter as i can set the gain.

but figured i would let you guys know.

was reading that soft dome is a better sounding tweeter ? is this right.

not sure about those beymas @keep_hope_alive might have some insight on that particular line or has his own recommendations on some horn/bullet or aluminium dome tweets that get loud and sound good. Out of the 4, i'd choose the selenium since I've heard them IRL, they were smooth and not fatiguing sounding while loud at the same time. Didn't hear it long enough to see how much detail you can get out of them, it was a two song demo and for sure it was way better than the soundqubed super tweets i have.

now i got this 80prs and LOVE IT i really want great sound quality but to be loud also. and the h/u does a great job of making what i have sound good. but want more...

but for now just looking for some tweeters. after that ill look into some nice 6.5's

It's a shame space is an issue. Planar tweeters have great sound and high efficiency and good power handling as you cross them higher. They are rather location dependent, but I've had great results when application permits.

Search around Parts Express, there's hundreds of options and anyting worth buying will have plenty of reviews.
