Whats a good MCD rating for led's?

I was looking at 27k will that be too bright?
Depends -- what are you wanting to do with them? I've used 15,000mcd ones and they lit up the ground from about 4-5 feet up well enough to see color clearly :p I mounted them as landing lights on an RC plane. Only 2 of them were enough to see the ground in pitch black from 40 feet or so away from the landing aircraft. 27k would be seriously bright in the dark :p
